IntraLase

IntralaseThis exceptional technology provides a less invasive approach to the first step of the laser vision correction procedure. This step, traditionally performed with a surgical blade and microkeratome, has now been enhanced by the laser's Micron level acurracy. This allows for a thinner corneal flap and making every procedure more predictable.

IntraLase technology provides remarkable precision and enables you to choose laser vision correction with confidence. IntraLase FS laser dramatically reduces the risk of flap related complications. More patients may now be candiates for laser vision correction due to this unique level of precision.

The Laser Your Doctor Has Chosen

Everyone’s eyes have uniquely shaped corneas and presciption needs. The ALLEGRETTO WAVE® Laser system enables your doctor to tailor your treatment to your individual needs, improving the quality of both your day and night vision.

Be Confident in Your Procedure with the ALLEGRETTO WAVE® Laser

There have been great advances in laser vision correction surgery. Millions of people undergo this vision-improving procedure and they see excellent results.

  • Studies show 93% of patients see at least 20/20
    or better following the procedure1
  • 97% of patients recommend the procedure to
    their friends1
Preparing for Surgery Is Easy

Before your laser vision correction experience, you will need to meet with your doctor to review pre-surgery directions and learn more about what your procedure will entail. Your doctor may recommend that you:

  • Have a thorough eye exam
  • Not wear your contacts for a specified period
    of time
  • Tell him/her about any eye conditions that you
have or any medications that you are taking

  • Ask any questions that you have about the procedure
It’s a Simple Procedure

This surgery is done as an outpatient procedure in your doctor’s office or at an outpatient surgery center. The actual laser procedure takes only a few seconds, while the entire process may take up to a couple of hours. Your doctor will discuss the follow-up regimen (eye drops, protective eyewear, etc.) and ask you to follow up at specified times to ensure your eyes are healing well.

The rest is up to you. Enjoy your new vision without contacts or glasses! It’s a beautiful world.

Considerations to Keep in Mind

While individual results may vary, the benefits of laser vision correction are very compelling—especially the thought of living without contact lenses and glasses. When considering laser vision correction, you should understand not only the benefits but also the potential risks, so that your decision is as informed as possible.

As with any surgery, there is a risk for complications. Patients may experience some side effects after surgery, such as visual fluctuations, glare and halos, light sensitivity, and dry eye. Laser technology and surgeon skill have advanced significantly in recent years, but no one can completely account for how each eye will heal once the procedure is complete.
